Honestly 2016, Game Developers used Amazon Gamelift to power games with a dedicated, scalable server hosting capable of supporting 100m competing users (CCU) in one game. Reponding to customer’s requirements for additional computing capacities outside gaming servers, Wennounging Amazon Gamelift Streams-Na Amazon Gamelift to help to build game publishers and provide global direct player experiences. Within this annundering, the existing abilities in Amazon Gamelift are now known as Amazon Gamelift servers and still serve hundreds of developers, including Ubisoft, Zynga, WB Games and Meta.
Amazon Gamelift Streams will help you provide game streaming up to 1080p and 60 frames per second included iOS, Android and PC. With a few clicks, you can put games created with a range of 3D engines, without editing, on a fully managed cloud instance of the GPU, and stream the AWS Network Spine directly to any device with a web browser.
Amazon Gamelift Streams will help you distribute games directly to players without having to invest millions of dollars in the infrastructure and software development to create your own services. Players can start playing in seconds without downloading or installing.
Here’s a quick view of the Amazon Gamelift currents:
You can use the Amazon Gamelift Streams SDK to integrate with your existing identity services, shop windows, game triggers, websites, or newly created experiences such as playable demos, and start streaming players. You can monitor active streams and use AWS and smoothly scaling your streaming infrastructure across several regions in the Global Network AWS to address multiple players around the world with low latent game. You can choose from the selection of GPU instances that offered the range of price performance and rely on the safety of AWS in the building for protection of your intellectual property.
Let’s start
To start using Amazon Gamelift currents, I need an existing implementation of Amazon Gamelift Streams. I am preparing my game files by watching Amazon Gamelift Streams.
Then I upload my files to Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). I can use the AWS Management Console command to upload my game files or this command line command line command line (AWS Cli):
aws s3 sync my-game-folder s3://my-bucket/my-game-path
The next step is to create Amazon Gamelift Streams. Transition to Amazon Gamelift Streams. This is the new AWS Gamelift Streams console:
I will choose on the Amazon Gamelift Streams console Create an application.
IN Setting RuntimeI choose the Runtime environment for my game application.
Then I have to select my bucket and folder S3 from the previous step and then set the way to the executable hand of my game.
I also have the opportunity to configure the automatic transmission of files of generated applications to the S3 bucket. After Misee with this configuration I choose Create an application.
After completing my application settings, I have to create a stream group, a collection of computing sources to start and stream the application. I navigate Stream In the left navigation pane of the Amazon Gamelift Streams.
On this page I define a description for my new Stream group.
Here I choose the skills and setting of the prices of my Stream group. The sale of my app uses the Microsoft Windows Server 2022 base, I will make sure we select one of the compatible flow classes.
Furthermore, I have to connect to the application I created in the previous step.
On Configure the current settings The page, I can configure the location for my stream group and bring additional capacity from other AWS regions. There are two capacity options that I can choose, Always on the capacity on and Capacity on request. The default capacity setting provides one streaming slot that is sufficient for initial testing.
Then I have to check my configuration and choose Create a Stream Group.
With configured stream groups I can test the game streaming. At the transition to the test current page at the console transition, I start my application as a current. I will select this group of stream and select Choose.
On the next page, I can configure any Gold command line arguments to start my application. I don’t need any additional configurations and choose Stream test.
Then I see that my app is running as expected. I can also communicate with my game. This test helps me to verify that my game works correctly in streaming mode and serves as initial proof of the concept.
After confirming everything works, I can integrate the SDK website into my own site. The SDK and AWS (AWS) software development kit with AMACON Gamelift Streams API helps me put game streams similar to what I tested in the console, into any website I manage.
