Today, we announce the general availability of Amazon Sagemaker Unified Studio, the only data and developmental AI Envirogne, where you can find and access all data in your organization and act on it with the best tool for work in virtually any case. Presented as a preview during AWS Re: Invent 2024, my colleague, Antje, summed up as:
Sagemaker Unified Studio (preview) is the only data and development environment AI. It combines the functionality and tools of a series of separate “studies”, editors of queries and visual tools that we now have in Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR, AWS GLUE, Amazon Redshift, Amazon managed workflows for Apache Airflow (Amazon MWAA) and existing Sagemaker studio.

Sagemaker Unified Studio breaks down a silo in data and tools, gives data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, ML developers and other practical practical experiences. This saves development time and simplifies access management management, so the date experts can focus on what really matters to them – building data products and AI applications.
This post focuses on several important announcements that we are enthusiastic to share:
- New capacity for Amazon Bedrock in SageMaker Unified Studio-Integration now supports new FMS models, including Anthropic’s Claude 3.7 Sonet and Deepseek-R1, enables data from Amazon Simple Storage (Amazon S3) Users for administrators of the Gover Model Management across several Amazon Web Service (AWS) accounts.
- Amazon Q Developer is now generally available in Sagemaker Unified Studio – Amazon Q Developer, the most capable AI generative assistant for software development, streamlining development in Amazon Sagemaker Unified Studio thus building ETL tasks, removing problems and generating code design.

New skills for Amazon Bedrock in Sagemaker Unified Studio
Capability of Amazon Bedrock in the Amazon Sagemaker Unified Studio offers a cooperation -controlled environment for developers to quickly create and adapt generative AI applications. This intuitive interface ensures developers of all skills levels and provides trouble -free access to the high -performance FMS offered in Amazon Bedrock and advanced tools to customize for collaborative development of adapted generative AI applications.
Sales of launch preview, several new FMS HAVECOME available in Amazon Bedrock and are fully integrated into Sagemaker Unified Studio, including Sonet Claude 3.7 Anthropic and Deepseek-R1. These models can be used to create generative AI applications and chat on the Sagemaker Unified Studio.

Within the project, you can also resources data or documents from S3 folders and select a specific FMS when creating knowledge bases.
During the preview, we introduced Amazon Bedrock Guardrails to help you implement guarantees for your Amazon Bedrock application based on your use and responsible AI principles. Now Amazon Bedrock Guardrails is expanded to Amazon Bedrock flows with this general release of availability.
In addition, we have eaves the generative settings AI for associated accounts with a new user management interface in SageMaker Unified Studio, which makes domain administrators to provide associated account access to model management projects. This eliminates an improvement of the need for command line operations and streaming the process of configuring generative AI capacities across several AWS accounts.

Amazon Q Developer is now generally available in Amazon Sagemaker Unified Studio and provides data professionals generative AI -guided help throughout the data and life cycle AI.
Amazon Q Developer integrates into the full set of AWS Analytics and AI/ml of tools and services within the Sagemaker Unified Studio, including data processing, SQL analysts, machine learning model and generative development AI application development and helping teams quickly create data and products. You want to start, you can select the Amazon Q Developer icon.
Amazon Q Developer serves as an unbearable assistant on board for the new SageMaker Unified Studio users. It can explain basic concepts such as domains and projects, providing instructions for setting up the environment and answer your questions.
Amazon Q Developer will help you discover and understand data using powerful interactions with natural language with SageMaker catalog. Especially powerful is what Amazon Q developer combines a wide range of AWS analysts and AI/ml services with the user’s context to provide personalized instructions.
You can talk about your data assets through a conversational interface and ask questions such as “display all payment -related data sets” without having to go through the complex metadata structures.
Amazon Q Developer offers generation SQL queries through its integration with a built -in queries editor available in Sagemaker Unified Studio. Experts at the data level of different skills levels can now express their analytical needs in natural language and, in return, accept properly formatted SQL questions.
For example, you may ask: “Analyze the preferences of payment methods according to the age group and the region” and the Amazon Q developer generates the appropriate SQL with the correct connections via multiple tables.
In addition, there is also Amazon Q Developer, which helps to eliminate problems and generate real -time code in SageMaker Unified Studio Jupyter and ETL buildings.

- Availability – Amazon Sagemaker Unified Studio is now available in the following AWS regions: US East (N. Virginia, Ohio), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Soul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo), Canada (Frankfurt, Ireland, London). - Amazon Q Developers’ subscription – Amazon Q Developer is available in SageMaker Unified Studio by default, which requires no additional settings or configuration.
